Read Me for Image 1.58 VDM (Source) --------------------------------- This software distribution contains the source code used to build the Image 1.58 VDM application software. The source code is in MetroWerks CodeWarrior Pascal format. As such, you will need the MetroWerks CodeWarrior (6 or later) software from MetroWerks Inc. to access the source code. Alternatively, you may use other Pascal-language development environments, but you are responsible for any translation of the source code which might be needed. The source code is provided in StuffItª format. Double-click on the StuffIt archive file and select a folder on your hard disk for the software to un-stuff into. In the archive, the source code is all contained in a single folder called "Source". This folder will be copied into the destination folder which you specify for the un-stuffing. You may also have a problem locating files when you try to build the application from the source code. Simply tell MetroWerks (Access Paths) the new location for the files and it should be able to continue. SPECIAL NOTE: This source code is for the Power Mac native version of Image 1.58 VDM. It is for use with Power Macintosh and older (68K) Macintosh. Just like standard NIH-Image, there is a project file for a 68K version and a project file for the PPC version. The 68K version builds a non-FPU application. To build a "fat binary" application (which will run on 68K Macs and Power Macs), first build the 68K version (Image-68K.µ). Then build the PPC version (Image-ppc.µ). Everything should build okay as the project files are configured, but you may have to modify the "Access Paths" for some of the source files.
