Read Me cMultiDemo - This file is to accompany the cMultiDemo filter for Adobe Photoshopª. cMultiDemo may be copied freely with this Read Me file. June 18, 1993 - cMultiDemo version 1.2 cMultiDemo is a fully functional Adobe Photoshopª filter which produces controlled kaleidoscopic effects. Install this filter by dragging it to the same location as your other Photoshop Filters (a folder probably called "Plug-ins" in your Photoshop folder) then restart Photoshop. You will then find cMultiDemo as a menu option in Photoshop's Filter menu under Andromeda. cMulti (short for Circular-Multiple Image) is one of the 10 Filters in Andromeda Software Inc's Series 1 Photography Filters. Usage of the filter is fairly self-explanatory. The kaleidoscopic may be dragged to any position in either the Preview or Proxy boxes. Sliders may be used to adjust the kaleidoscopic width, radius, and other parameters. The preview button displays what the filter will do. The OK button applies the filter to the image. Series 2 Three-D Filter - 3D Surface Wrapping and Special Effects. Andromeda Software develops high performance custom filters ("Plug-ins") for Adobe Photoshopª. All the Filters are sophisticated photo adjust tools with broad image enhancement controls for design production. Each filter allows the user to preview and try variations of the effect within the filters dialog box. The filters are fast and work on gray scale, RGB or CMYK images. Series 1 Photography Filters emulate optical camera lenses. cMulti and sMulti are controllable kaleidoscopes. Designs Patterns can be bent, warped, twisted, colored, and rotated: a Ò2 1/2 DÓeffect impossible to achieve manually when you need it! Designs Mezzo generates a large variety of mezzo screen textures that are image dependent for a rich illustrated effect. Diffract, Prism and Rainbow Filters for geometric spectral effects impossible with any gradient tool. Halo Filter is a directional highlight diffuser based on pixel brightness. Reflection Filter provides controlled, feathered, clear pool reflections. Star Filter is the ultimate star design tool for flash, flare, spark and glint effects. Velocity Filter creates unique motion trails with multiple ghosting, highlight smears and fade-out. Series 1 Photography Filters for Apple Macintosh are currently available from Mac's Place (1-800-367-4222, Inv #5161) and MacWarehouse (1-800-255-6227, Inv.# GRA0413) for around $79.00 . Series 2 Three-D Filter is the first Photoshopª filter that allows true 3D surface mapping capability with variable viewpoint and shading control. It is also the most sophisticated Filter developed for Photoshopª. Its uses are variable perspective views, glass lens effects, spherizing, cylindrical/spehrized/box/plane partial, complete or tiled wrapping, 3-D visualization for package design, generation of single frames for animation and a variety of other special effects. The following are some of its characteristics: Viewpoint Control. You can fly around the surface, select a camera viewpoint and take snapshots of the 3-D scene. It is rendered and presented within Photoshopª! Surface and Image manipulation. The surface maybe re-sized, shifted, rotated or scaled and the same may be done with the image on the surface. Shading. A movable white light source adds visual depth to the scene with its shading. The light source has a hot spot associated with it which may be moved onto the surface for special glossy or matte shading effects. Scene Building. Choice of surfaces, shading effects, viewpoint and distance control gives you the flexibility to create quick 3-D scenes and single animation frames. Series 2 Three-D Filter for Apple Macintosh will be released by Andromeda Software Inc. on July 15th 1993 for $89 introductory offer. Suggested retail price is $129 Adobe Photoshopª, Apple Macintoshª are trademarks of the respective companies. In the coming weeks, we're planning to upload a few sample images created with Andromeda's filters showing off some of their capabilities.
